We had a demonstration from Bill's Boards on Sunday at the Amiga Friends meeting of their expansion board for the A500 and A1000. It sells for US$499 and consists of a connection for the expansion connector, a couple of cables going to a 'mother board' which has 6 Amiga slots and 5 IBM slots arranged (if memory serves) with an overlap of 3 for a bridge card. When asked if they also sold the enclosure they were using (AT Jr. box with power supply) they pointed out that the same box/supply was readily available for less than $200, so no they weren't selling it. This means that for less than $700 you can get a powered expansion box for your A1000. I should point out that the Bill's Boards expansion does NOT contain a co-processor slot. It does NOT contain a video slot either. If you want more info, I can upload some more details, but the literature isn't here right now.
