John – Thanks for the very interesting notes on DEC toner, particularly the "first aid" section! I have been told (by NEC) that the NEC toner particle size is so small that it will fly right through a vacuum cleaner bag. They use a special vacuum cleaner to clean NEC-800 series printers that are in for service. The key in taking apart an NEC-890 OPC cartridge is to remove the drum VERY CAREFULLY and avoid both spills and dust. Interestingly, I've found that all parts (except the drum) can be immersed in water, cleaned completely, and left to dry thoroughly. Upon re-assembly, the OPC cartridge will work fine. Kerry
