Jim,
It is only really noticable on '040s and where there are lots of maps. I
have one Toaster on an 030 and one on an 040. Before the 3.0/3.1 updates
the '040 only gave about 20% better perfomance sometimes and sometimes was
slower. Since the update the difference ranges from 3x to 5x depending on
the scene. I have OCCASIONALLY seen 10x, but I'd say on average it is
about half that.
