Beer Mats?
We get the British reruns on the "snootier" channels, (Arts and
Entertainment being a prime example). I notice that the British shows we
do get are all rather high on the "snob appeal" scale, we don't get Benny
Hill much anymore. The television on cable runs from Masterpiece theatre
type dull snob appeal type shows with a lot of British accents(Not just
any british accents, but the snobby Oxford/Cambridge type accent), to
tractor pulls, Beavis and Butthead(huh-huh! huh-huh-huh!), and the latest
in the saga of Amy Fischer and Joey Bottafuoco.
