It is not fair to suggest that because it is "lateral" technology
that I am diminishing Gus's or anyone else's accomplishments. It only
suggests what it is. This is the first step toward the future that
both you and I would like to see. But as yet is not a replacment for
"frame by frame" at Beta SP quality. Say what you will, but until
this is a reality, frame by frame is not dead. You could just as
easily have said "frame by frame" was dead with the introduction of
the Abekas, which is no more true than your statement.
But I've made my point and unless you would like to pursue this
further, I'll drop it.
