Hello out there, I've got a question regarding CD-ROM mastering. I'm planning to master on CD for PC and AMIGA. Most of it's contents is only data. There exists a program for the Amiga and one for the PC to display all the data. I've thought I could go and make one drawer for the AMIGA data and one for the PC. Since I don't have the ISO docs handy (I don't own them) I need to ask one question: The AMIGA files have much longer filenames than the PC files: 1. do I have to cut down the AMIGA filenames to 8 + 3 characters to be conform? 2. am I allowed to place one icon (AMIGA.info) in the root directory without problems on the PC? 3. how do I get an ISO partition to a DAT streamer in ISO ? This is because sending a DAT tape to a manufacturer is cheaper than sending them a HD with files (about USD 700,–). What do I have to think of as well?
