Frank, Thanks for your reply. I bought the Radio Shack printer today-$199.
There is quite a difference between it and the Canon. They may look the same
but they aren't. On the Radio Shack there is no switch for single or double
density printing. There are no provisions for foreign language characters
(dipswitch on Canon). I understand that you need double density to get bright
colors. So, I ordered the PJ1080A from BCE. Should have it in a couple weeks.
Meanwhile I'm bringing the RS one back. Oh, the RS has lower character
descenders, where the Canon doesn't.
