#HP ColorPro Plotter
This message turned up in search, but its forum couldn’t be identified from the original transcript, so it may not be linked into its thread.
HP Plotters require special stuff to work with the Amiga. Here is
documentation That will do the trick:
Using HP Plotters.
This document describes support for the HP 7448 ColorPro plotter. It should
work for all of the HP Plotters. This information was provided by Mr. Bob
Hughes.
The PlotDriver file that works best with this plotter is:

This file must be titled "PlotDriver", you can use ED or any other text
editor to create the file. Check Appendix E if you have a plotter other than
the Color Pro. Modify the number of pens, width, and height as needed.
Run Amiga Preferences. Set the Baud rate to 9600 baud. Choose a
custom/generic printer and serial output. Set your plotter for 9600 Baud, 8
data bits, 1 stop bit, and No Parity.
If your HP Plotter has switches to allow XON/XOFF handshaking you can ignore
the following.
You need to create a file called HPXON. This file has to be sent to the HP
plotter before running Draw. The symbol <ESC> refers to the Escape key. The
symbol <Return> is the return key. The symbol <CTRL\> is the keystroke
produced by holding down the CTRL key and hitting the backslash '\' key. If
your plotter has a add-on buffer, go into the CLI and type the following:
Copy * to RAM:HPXON<Return>
<ESC>.P1:<ESC>.T1900;74:<ESC>.@1900<Return><CTRL\>
If you don't have a buffer type:
Copy * to RAM:HPXON<Return>
<ESC>.P1:<Return><CTRL\>
These keystrokes must be typed in exactly. If you make a mistake hit <CRTL\>
and repeat the entire command.
After you have created the HPXON file type the following:
Copy RAM:HPXON to DF0:S<Return>
Then, using ED modify the file S/Startup-Sequence. You will see a few lines
with the command "ECHO" used. Start a new line right after these commands
(before the "LOADWB" command). Type in the following line:
Copy S/HPXON to SER:RAW
You can exit ED and save your changes by typing <ESC>X<Return>.
If you dont want to modify your startup sequence just be sure to type:
Copy S/HPXON to SER:RAW<Return>
When you startup your Amiga in the CLI.
