Do you work in an environment where you could swap graphics cards? This could
be a hardware issue, since you're describing something that sounds extreme.
Before doing that, try booting up with Files=40 (plain boot) and make sure all
cables are plugged into the monitor/card properly. If you have the TSR which
makes your XGA-2 VESA-compliant, run that and configure 3DS VIBCFG for VESA.
I'm not sure what's going on.
