Re video snobs: You wouldn't believe who is the giggest video snob around here. Constantly badmouthing all formats except beta SP and a toaster. He's a wedding videographer. Would you believe it? I did some frame grabbing today and now have experienced the artifacts of compression. I'll post them for all to read as a separate message to all. I still have to get a better handle on the way compression works on this PAR but I'm close to figuring it all out and getting the total quality picture for the PAR fixed in perspective. The teleprompter has a dongle that I hardwired inside so they wouldn't keep loosing it. I also created a single startup disk with menu prompts so computer idiots could run the thing. No big deal but they were thrilled with the improvements. I've also been hired to design and build a new editing suite for them (with existing equipment) That's the challenge. Might mean a lot of night work.
