After reading your last message to me I started back at trying to figure out how I could get command history of the shell but not be able to get the alias feature to work (as per your notations). First thing I did was type the resident command and it came back and said shell-seg was resident. Ok, that looked good, so I looked at my newcon and the mount looked good. I finally went back to the original startup-sequence on the WB1.3 disk and compared my newcon mounts with theirs. That looked the same, the assigns looked similar, but….oh no, they did something really different when they made the shell-seg resident. They had this "Resident CLI L:Shell-Seg System Pure Add" and I had "Resident L/ShellSeg System Pure Add". It seemed like such a small thing, but I tried it anyways, and……IT WORKS!!!!! Still don't know what the "CLI" in the command does, but it does make a difference. Thought I would just drop a note of thanks to you, and to Don Curtis, and all the Sysops that gave me the helpful hints/suggestions. Thanks all!!!
