I have an ATI ultra pro in my machine which will run in 24 bits at
800×600 in windows. It's much better than the atvista or targa since
they are both fairly low res. The ATI will also run at 16 bit at
1024×768. Basically you should look for a 24 bit super vga card.
Most seem to work great, I'm real happy with mine, I use photoshop
with it quite a bit.
