after i read your message, i decided to try seeing if 1.3 kickstart was on my disk labeled "A3000 Kickstart Version 2.04". i shut the system off, turned it on, held both mouse buttons on, when the kickstart menu appeared, i clicked 1.3 floppy and put the disk in. dang, it worked! 🙂 the wb1.3 picture appeared and i put in my AmigaVision boot disk in and my 3000 was happily running amigados 1.3! i tried running Harpoon (the only 1.3 game i could think of that i had and never could get to work under 2.x) from the ram drive, but my amiga guru'd after it popped up the error saying something about waiting for all disk activity to stop. i'll try running it from floppies in the morning. the only other problem i had was that i couldn't get softboot to load the kickstart1.3 i created on the hd from the kickstart disk. i'll try reading over softboot's readme again tomorrow. so you can scratch the mail i sent you. 🙂 bob
