Without knowing exactly your purpose for a removeable HDD, here's this: If you're looking for reliable, portable storage, look into optical. I've been using a Maxoptix Tahiti 2M just like an extra HDD for over a year without a hitch. A little slower than a real HDD, but _Always_ there, a very secure resting place for all those files you're afraid to delete just yet. A gig per disk @ ~$100 a pop isn't too pricey. Only problem is none of the service bureaus has them, so any files going there ride on QIC or spanned, pkzipped floppies. CUroundtheCC …B. ;-D
