Thanks for the pointers. Not much oil exploration going on here in Wisconsin, though – more likely a failed biotech or ag-related firm. I do watch the surplus sales at the local University, but conversations with the managers there say the 'scopes never make it as far as the surplus sales, that they tend to "fall off trucks" or otherwise disappear before that. My tax dollars at work, I guess.
