Hi Dr. Burroughs! You seem like the right guy to quiz about something I've been looking for to house some of my smaller fossils. A friend gave me a small box that originally contained a lapel pin, but he had no idea where it came from originally, and there was no manufacturer's name on the box. Several dozen or a couple hundred of these would be perfect for storing my many tiny-but-not-microscopic fossils (teeth, small shells, etc.). The box is clear plastic (polystyrene), about one inch square by 3/4-inch deep, with about a 1/4-inch deep friction-fit lid. The local rock shops in my area only seem to carry the larger, 1.25×1.25×1.25 opaque, colored boxes with hinged, clear lids, which aren't as much to my liking. Also available are the clear boxes with a magnifying, friction-fit lid, which are almost what I want, but I would prefer to use the non-magnifying type. Do you know of a source for these boxes? Do you micromounters use them? (Do you know what I'm talking about?!) What do you use? Any help you could offer would be appreciated. Thanks. Howard
