I do not subbscribe entirely to the inorganic source of petroleum, because you simply do not have the volume of material to account for discovered and yet to be discovered petroleum. You can not make 20 pots of soup from a pot of vegetables so to speak. I do however believe that petroleum source has its origin from a combination of organic and inorganic sources. The oganic source provides most of the essential ingredients, the inorganic provides some ingredients as well and the rest is left to thermodynamics. As a result of polymerization and disproportination, volume can be accounted for
