I have the "Assembly Language Primer for PC/XT," by The Waite Group and it's
probably the best primer on 8088/8086 assembler in print. I have used it to
teach several groups of people to write decent assembly code. It's not quite
up to snuff as a reference guide, but it's phenomenal as a teaching aid. You
might want to take a look at it, it's well worth its cover price.
