I am having problems reading in a .FLC file, created by Playmation, into
Animator Pro. This problem only exists when I render in VGA 640×480 mode,
creating a .FLC file. I can read in .FLI 320×200 files, TARGA 800×600 files,
these are all ok.
I have the following versions of software on my system:
MS-DOS v. 5.0
WINDOWS v. 3.1
Playmation v. 2.05
Autodesk Animator Pro v. 1.3
My system is a Laser 386 w/Co-processor running at 33Mhz. I have 10 Meg of
memory.
When I load the .FLC file into Animator, it will display the first frame,
then it will print the below error message and exit to a DOS prompt. (With the
first frame still showing on the rest of the screen.)
Abnormal Program Termination: Memory Protection Fault.
CS:EIP = 000Ch:00084DCCh
This is the most recent error I have gotten. Sometimes the file will load,
but when I go to run the animation, it will exit to DOS, with the same kind of
error message, on one of the other frames.
Is the Playmation .FLC format not supported in my version of Animator?
Or is there an updated .FLC format since version 1.3 of Animator?
Is there some kind of patch or upgrade to Playmation that will fix this?
Should I send the file to your technical support dept.?
Should I get an update to Animator?
I would appreciate any help you could give me.
P.S. Playmation and Animator make a real great pair. 🙂
