Hi Mike: Thank you for getting back to me on the manual, as I will change it to make it clearer. Visual Reality lists for $595. Check that — the new pricing policy just went into effect: Visual Reality now lists for $299. Simply 3D lists for $59. One of the functionality differences that justifies the price difference is the file compatibility issue. Other functionality differences fit this two-tier approach, and the result is that Simply 3D is a great 3D product for people who want to get into 3D but who aren't architects, engineers or otherwise educated or experienced in 3D modeling. Visual Reality is more sophisticated, and it is designed to give a higher output quality (material effects, file resolution, etc) such that it is a more appropriate choice for the professional user (such as Autocad users…). >>I feel my purse strings being tugged already…<< Ouch.
