I just got VR up and running on my computer and went through the first tutorial in the Renderize Live manual. The final task in the tutorial is to render a view of a chair to disk and to print it to the screen. Being eager to see what kind of printed results I could get, I also printed the rendered view. I did so at the 900 X 600 resolution recommended in the tutorial, which worked fine, except that I was not satisfied with the resolution. Then, I tried to render the view again at 2000 X 1500 resolution. When the process reached approximately 93% completion, my hard disk went into a state of continuous activity for several minutes. After that finally stopped, I tried to edit the image in the Image Designer and received the following message: Fatal: Not enough memory (or something to that effect) I have a 16 MB Pentium system and have set up a 32M swap file. Should I be able to render and print at that kind of resolution or higher? If so, what changes do I need to make to my configuration? Is it feasible to output full page renderings at a 600 dpi printer resolution? Thanks, Michael Katz
