Michael, Here are some answers for you. > 1>Does WinImages/FX include WinImages Morph? Yes – the package is called "WinImages" and both WinImages F/x and WinImages Morph are supplied as part of the package. It is the only way they are sold. > 2>What is your current pricing? And, which programs, besides the morph programs listed in the > info file, are applicable to the competitive upgrade? You may currently obtain the WinImages package for Windows for $49.95, plus shipping, directly from us right now under our new "Direct Access" program. Since WinImages retails for $99.95, you have the opportunity to save quite a bit while this program is in force. With Direct Access in place, the competitive upgrade program is kind of moot, at the moment… similar price advantage, no need to do anything to qualify. Call (800) 852-6442 as soon as possible if you'd like to take advantage of this offer. > 3>I have Animator Pro and was planning to upgrade to the new Animator Studio. But, it's only > expected in about April and I can't wait that long. Considering the features, or target audience, > how does WinImages/FX compare to Animator Studio, Razor Pro, Adobe Premier? I realize that > these are all about 7X more expensive than WinImages/FX! WinImages, in the areas within which it is designed to provide capability, outperforms just about anything on the market, including these packages. It is _the_ best value on the market for price/performance, and frankly, IF we had the name recognition that the vendors you mentioned here do, we'd be selling it in the between 500 & 1000 dollar range. And it'd be worth every penny. > My need right now is to add effects (paints, brushes, blurrs, filters, …), transitions, morphs and > fades to 3D animations created in Imagine or 3DS. e.g. posterize a series of TGA's all with the > same filter, as automatically as possible. Also to do compositing of one series of TGA's on top of > another series of TGA's with Alpha channel (?) and/or transparancy. WinImages has more effects – often called "filters" in the industry – than you're likely to ever use. It also has filters – gaussian blur, edge enhancement, noise and artifact removal and son on. It has very powerful composition tools, compositing series of TGA's, with alpha, on top of each other is no problem whatsoever – and you can apply the effects & filters at the same time. Posterization certainly, as well as tons of other operations, many completely unique to the software so there's no easy way for me to describe them for you without taking a LOT of words up. You say you want this "as automatically as possible". Open the file requester, select the entire set of files you want processed, they show up in the time line, drag in the effect(s) you want, and hit "generate". It's really that easy. As for morphing, it's there and it's incredibly powerful and flexible. > I have no need for animation (onion skin) effects or sound capabilities. Good, because we don't process sound… 🙂 Ben Williams for Black Belt Systems
