Thanks, Bob, good discussion… looks like it is pushing the limits of what folks here know and/or what IS known… I know from my work (environmental health scientist) that there can be all kindsa stuff in oil, and percent composition can be hard to know even on a crude basis, for stuff found at waste sites… I had hoped some lab had looked at it more thoroughly with the bio-origin end in mind but I guess not… this question is after all a curiosity, not a necessity… perhaps you have a great idea for a new horror movie in "Attack from the Permian Basin"… then again, anybody immersed miles underground in an oil basin might have a little more to worry about than anaerobic bacteria 😉
