I have a modeling problem I thought I'd never have:
1. I'm modeling a part of an interior used for retail and I have to show
some of the items such as pastry wrapped in clear wrap, coffee sacks, coffee
mugs, etc
all of these are no problem to make except for certain container, The glass
bottle of coffee syrup(such as "hazelnut" or "Maui Mucho Yukko") Here's the
problem:
The bottle is the shape of a Bordeaux bottle (or the shape of a Samuel Smith
Nut Brown Ale bottle sucked dry) w/ gold foil down most of the neck almost to
the shoulder. I created a copy of the bottle,
Booleaned the top off one and the body off the other, then assigned light gold
for the foil and glass to the body, no problem!
Think of the bottle as clear but filled w/ a pale amber liquid (the
syrup,yuck!).
The label is white w/ gold stripes running horizontally w/ a logo and lettering
centered.
Non of the modeling or map creating is a problem however when I assign a
semi transparent golden glass to the bottle w/ the texture map assigned as a
decal for the label the label is transparent.
Is there any way to create the label as solid but mapped to the glass or do
I have to create a solid
label to "wrap the glass with? I'm trying to keep the face count under control
early.
2. I have to model pastry wrapped in foil (suchas candied pumpkin, cake,
habanero short cake).
I don't have a clue how to even begin!!
HELP,
Gary
