>>Is it fair to say that you are looking for a way to create uniformly
distributed random rotations?<<
No.
I mean, sure, that would work actually. But I would prefer something
sequential. Also, I'm on R1, so there is no real way for me to program it.
What I've got, is an m&m. I make a bunch of .tgas out of it and then
read them into FDPainter3 as an animation. Turn the animation into an
image nozzle and then spray. Cool. I have a pile of randomly oriented
m&ms. Except at this point, they all are right side up like (m) or
upside down like (w) but none of them are sideways like (E). This is
because I am rotating about only 2 axes and not the one parallel to
the view line of the 'camera' (I'm using front view to render so
there is technically no camera). I'm just trying to organize my
rotations so that I get everything I want.
Hmm, I'm thinking right now, and think I've got it. Yeah, think I do.
I'll try to remember to let you know.
Using keyframer. I do have some tedious ways. I may spend some of tomorrow
trying one of them out.
Thanks.
