<<For example, can the same binary invoke the IPAS GUI functions as well as making it possible to open a Windows-style dialog?>> Since I'm not an IPAS programmer but a programmer nevertheless I would say that the Yost Group could most likely map the IPAS GUI functions to their Windows equivalents. So when you called the IPAS GUI when recompiled with IPAS NT<g> all your previous function calls are linked instead to functions that display Windows interface elements rather than the previous DOS interface elements. This level of abstraction is possible. Though I believe that this would only be an interim solution thereby allowing existing IPAS programs to function under Release 5. The true power will come when the IPAS routines are designed and developed specifically to take advantage of the features of Windows NT; multithreading in particular. David "Sticky and GUI" Gould
