>>The prices are different based on the type of license one purchases. Do I
have this correct? <<
Yes, but there are actually 3 tiers in the KineModelz plan:
CONSUMER no commercial use
PROSUMER limited commercial use
PROFESSIONAL unlimited commercial use
And the first two tiers would be upgradeable for the simple difference in cost.
>>How are you able to discern how one uses the noncommercially licensed
versions? As you are well aware and as I have said often – WEASELS ABOUND! <<
Here's the issue, the way I see it, Bob.– Is it better to charge one high flat
rate, thereby restricting the number of users who have access to the models, OR
better to have different permits, more users, and some violations? Although it
will be somewhat difficult to enforce the latter, I've chosen to give it a try
because I want the models to be more accessible. And I hope to minimize
problems of misuse by carefully controlling distribution, making sure users
understand precisely what permit they have, and religiously registering all
users, perhaps with occasional checkups to verify compliance. (No dongles are
planned though.) Since my user base is likely to remain rather small, I think
such a plan is feasible.
It's an experiment, I admit. And it may fail, but I'm willing to give it a shot
because I'm not satisfied with the higher flat-rate approach, and lower
standard prices would probably put me out of business. For further elaboration
on this, see my most recent message to Anigrafix in this same thread.

work.<<
Right back atcha.
