Autodesk Confirms NT 3ds
"I agree with you 100% Jack – I am definitely looking at different modelers for
the future."
Yup, I'm kind of "bummed out" about this myself. I got tons of real good
graphics stuff that I use on a dayly basis, all Windows and DOS. Fom what I
hear from others, half of the existing stuff doesn't run under NT and I am not
willing to scrap everything (or half) of what I got, just because the ONE
program I use most is migrated to a different platform; essentially ignoring
ALL the existing users. (who, of course, are not on that platform)
It would be best if there were 2 versions out, one NT for those who "need" it
and one for DOS (the 32 bit DOS would be a better way to go, finally the Phar
Lap crap could be stripped out)
Nevertheless, I inquired pricing for Windpws NT 3.5, the cheapest I found was
$280! This is typically MS, major bucks for something others might even give
away… (Like Linux, now that would be interesting…)
Jack (the PC incorrect) Can't wait to get the comments on this one.
