Hi George, AniCom makes 3D-Choreographer. 3D Chor is a $149 Windows program for creation of 3 dimensional animations. Windows magazine named it one of the best 100 products in 1995 in the Feb issue. It differs from many programs in that it focuses on the character actions and movement rather than on the model building part of animation. The program comes with ~50 3D characters (called actors). These include the alphabet, women & men, animals, toons and geometrical objects. The commands are written at two levels. At the amateur level, there are commands like walk, run, raise arm, turn, bow, swim, jump and raise the right eyebrow. The professional level commands allow individual joints to be moved. Multiple commands can overlap in time and be combined as a macro. Under its macro name it can be transferred to other actors. Two dimensional actors in the form of bitmaps can be imported and used as actors or as backgrounds. 3D actors are limioted to what is provided by the program, however they are morphable and many new characters are available for purchase. The 3D actors can be altered to form other actors either before you use them or the changes can occur as part of your animation. A woman's hair can be changed as can the size, shape and placement of her nose and mouth. Her head can be resized as can her breast, hips, legs and arm. Her skin color is variable as is the color of her outfit. Other actors have comparable flexibility. In spite of its power, it is extremely easy to learn and use. A 13 yr old girl taught the program at the Mercury Senftinel Education Learning Fair in San Jose. Sample animations can be downloaded from our home page on internet http://www.spadion.com/anicom or send me a note on Compuserve Regards, Darryl Freedman
