I'm having some problems with requesters, and I'm running out of people to ask for advice… could you give a try? I'm designing a filename requester with several gadgets including a scrolling list of filenames. Because I'm not sure that the application program will have a large enough window to hold this critter, I'm designing a function to open a window, then open the requester, closing the window after the request has been filled. Anyway, none of this info is probably relevant. The problem is that my machine crashes with Guru # 00000004.00000000 (illegal instruction?) immediately after Request() starts to do its rendering. I've tried all the gadgets separately and they all work. I'm drawing within the limits of the window, and the program halts at different stages of rendering, always after the window is open. I've checked all addresses, etc. hundreds (literally) of times over. This has been bugging me for close to three weeks now! I'm wondering if you've had any situations similar to this. Please let me know if you have ANY ideas at all. Thanks. >>> brent
