Addendums
This message turned up in search, but its forum couldn’t be identified from the original transcript, so it may not be linked into its thread.
Just a reminder to all of you out there to scan your CA addendums
ocassionally because there's no telling what you might find.
Yesterday I found the answer to my string gadget font problem. It turns
out that if your screen is the workbench screen, the string gadget inherits
the current font of the WB. If the screen font is changed while your
program is running, the string gadgets font will change as well. All you
can do is request a message telling you that it just happened (sigh).
The other interesting thing I found was the ATOM utility (which I'd
completely overlooked because it wasn't in any of the bound docs). This
little treasure allows you to change where the loader puts your program and
data hunks so that you don't have to allocate memory then copy data to CHIP
memory for sprite forms etc..
This may be old news to everyone, but I'm happy.
