DPS suggested to use the PAR application to format the slave, but this crashed my master drive. I tried to format the slave from the DOS command line using PARDRV.EXE -format:s and that formatted the master drive (this looks like a bug in the software). So to answer your question, use the partest like you have already tried and continue through the WARNINGS and the finial question will ask you master/slave and you choose slave and every thing will be O.K. The latest software for the PAR is 1.5 and it is now a official release, not beta. This company handles a great NLE program called Razor Pro, a must have program!!! Especially with a second drive you can use Razor Pro to produce compositions from the master drive and output them to the slave drive from within Windows (as soon as DPS releases there new MCI divers for windows), Razor Pro is the FASTEST way for doing any type of edits using the PAR.
