Hi Paul, Good to see you here! I know that commercialization concerns are a big subject with many folks. But I also feel that such a contest would certainly help a lot of people (granted, me included) to learn about such modeling considerations. It seems a shame to not offer such a contest because of the fear of the kind of feedback Dr. Pixel went through. I don't think we should have an entry fee, as they did and I don't think that we want to sell the winning model on any CD or anywhere else. My personal feeling is that it should be contributed freely and dispersed freely to anyone that is interested in seeing it, with full credits to the creator, of course. If this is plainly stated up front, then anyone who does not like this arrangement should be free to NOT submit an entry, don't you think? But the rest of the world, who still wants to play, should be able to do so too. It is still a free world. At least that is my two cents. And what I propose to do. Perhaps Kevin could check out the official legal line from the Autodesk perspective that could tell us if such an approach is acceptable. What do you think Kevin, if/when you read this? Paul, keep up the great work on SC2000! I sure am glad one of the original 3 organizers is still around. What happened to Kevin G. and Sanford? Where did they go and why? I still don't understand these complex things. I guess I am just a simple person…….. Anyway, keep up the great work and count me in 100%. I have a contribution that will be up soon of a real-time city to fly. And I really look forward to your feedback. Angela
