Hi Jerry! Good to see you here! How is that little Eddy and Maryann? I have been trying to talk Millard into letting me bring the boys to Meckler just so Jarrod could meet Eddy, but no luck so far… :(. >>>>Check over in CyberForum's Virtual City section. VRASP has a world building contest currently under way. I'm trying to use it to goose the folks over there to get their VR Virtual City group project moving again. Perhaps some 3D Studio/ACAD folks would like to get involved. <<<< This sounds like a great idea! I have been remiss in keeping up with Cyberforum lately. I just can't seem to find the hours in the day. Thanks for keeping us informed of some of their activities. I strongly urge everyone interested in CDK type acitvities to frequent this forum and learn about what these folks are up to. They are very experienced Cyberspacers. I know that there are always concerns about rights to models in contests like these, as Paul Sanford has mentioned on the other thread. What do you think about such issues. How is is handled elsewhere? You've probably seen such contests or activities before, Jerry, any input for us? Personally, I think that such entries should be given away freely. We don't want to sell them anywhere, but it is true that both Autodesk and ourselves, and anyone else for that matter that is promoting real-time 3D software should benifit by other seeing such examples. However, I think that the prizes offered should be compensation enough if a modeler is interested in entering the contest. To both Jerry and all others who read this: Anyway, I would certainly contribute our software as prizes and I am sure Kevin could come up with some goodies too, so anyone with any other ideas please speak up! Any other interested sponsors out there? Angela
