There's a lot of correlation between computer geeks and Rand fans. "Liberty" magazine did a survey of its readers, the most popular occupation was self-employeed in a computer-related business, as I recall. If you ever see/hear of Lee Stranahan, a big guy in the LightWave and Toaster training market (literally and figuratively :-), he was Rand's "sound guy" as a teenager. In her Ford Hall speech tapes, you can hear her say, "Lee, can you fix this mic". NewTek was a hotbed of Objectivists, the place was spackled with Rand posters, Gordon Gecko's "Greed is Good" posters, Lloyd Wright posters, etc. As for Wilson's pricing structure, I didn't get the impression he was being collectivist about it. Perhaps I should re-read the post. Was it a matter of "what the market will bear" or "what professionals expect" versus "what hobbyiests will settle for"?
