We have had a similar problem, and originally the mother boad was replaced. The
problem was not cured. We much later blew the Gary chip altogether,
unplugging/pluging in a printer with everything on, the chip was replaced and
out monitor problem remained. The monitor problem we had was intermitant and
went away for many months only to return so bad we took in in for repait. It
appears it is a chip in the monitor that needs replacing. I will post its
details tomorrow as the information is at work. We have not been able to source
the chip to repolace it son the monitor, a 1942, is currently dead.
