I'm a part time videographer (more an experienced hobbiest than anything else)
so, for whats worth, I have a Sony CCD-VX3 for which I can only give praise.
The quality is more than adequate for the weddings and private requests that I
typically do. If I had to state 1 complaint it would probably be that the
camera seems to eat batteries.
I have a FAST VM (full version not the Lite) and a single Sony R5U S-VHS deck
for editing. All my editing is by neccessity RCTC based and I'm limited to A/X
role transistions but the VM handles this great. All in all, I'm at the low
end of this business but very happy and having lots of fun. Not to mention
making a few dollars on the side.
