Hi Paul, I wouldn't call you strictly amateure. Hi-8 is one of the best acquisition sources and non-linear editing capabilities is mor than I currently have. Besides it's the results of your work which determines you professionalism, not the bigger your tools (or in some cases, the bigger your toys). When you say med-quality, is that VHS or better? Plus with non-linear editing I don't see a strong need for the higher formats for industrial quality. Any way whereabouts are you located, and do you have any StediCam footage you could send me?
