I am trying to implement a write to screen function redirectable with the printer that is capable of writing only to a certain subsection of the screen. This is for an assembly-language application. Since it can only use a part of the screen it seems like we have to use the BIOS int 10h functions for the actual i/o, but in order for it to be redirectable, it seems like it would have to take the form of a DOS device driver. I have 2 questions about this. Is there a generally available source wherein this has been done before so that I don't need to reinvent the wheel? Is there a better (simpler) way than a device driver to implement this?
