All, Does anybody have a suggestion for a good SVHS field record deck? I'm doing some location multi-camera shoots, and I really hate to drag my AG7750 editor around to do them. Portabiliity would be great, but even something the size of a 1970 would do. What would really be nice is if it had timecode, since my editing setup is frame accurate. VITC would be better; LTC would do. The timecode would need to be contiguous, and I would pre-stripe and black the tapes. All this would save a generation, important in this format. Unless there's a way to accurately stripe in LTC onto a previously recorded tape that someone knows of. I guess that that would make up for not having timecode on a deck. Also, balanced audio inputs would be a plus. It would be fed from a MX-1 and a Mackie 1202. Thanks for any ideas or opinions on the subject. Regards. Nate Nate Wahl Emerald Video
