Is there a book that outlines that procedure?>> It's not so much a book as it is buying a scanner and then scanning in pictures of any texture you like. You can go through all your books and scan in images(within copyright regulations) to use as a texture. If you have a hand-held scanner than you could also scan the carpet, walls, the cat or anything for that matter. A scanner opens up the possibilities to just about anything that is published can be used as a texture(check out copyright regulations though).
