James,
If you have considered a editor such as Razor Pro or Premier, I know that
Razor Pro has a nice scale feature and it works rendering fields also. Razor
Pro will preform this task about as fast as a copy within the PAR software. If
you do not want to do the scale within Razor Pro you could create a IFL file
and read the targa files from the PAR within 3DS and set the image size to 715
x 457 and a 0.851 aspect, this will reduce the image approx. 5%.

P.S.
I just read your second message- You need to run a shell statement in your
config.sys or increase the one you have now. There should be a line in the
config.sys which reads– SHELL=C:\COMMAND.COM /P /E:512 (The /E:512 sets the
amount of environment space that you need and you can adjust this amount up or
down till your message disappears. The environment defaults to 384 without the
shell statement). The OUT of ENVIRONMENT error message will truncate the
autoexec.bat settings which could cause problems with the PAR (you could type
SET at the C:\ prompt this will show your current settings).
Make sure that you are running the PAR software after running Lantastic, I am
using the PAR software with about 408K of conventional memory.
