Tim,
I'm making an assumption of the part of pointing in the .mli files, so I don't
know any details. It may use something like the map paths statement. There is
no way the files can be compressed that small, however.
Smartdrv.exe doesn't do anything in 3DS, but the amount of memory is excluded
for use by anything else.
A jumpy mouse can be a sign of low memory, how much conventional ram
do you have when you type mem from the C:> prompt? I've heard of
problems with v9.0 of the microsoft mouse drivers, too. Funny it only
jumps in the lofter, though. Does it always jump, or just once in a
while?
Have fun
