Tim, I would term "production" as the actual editing process (modifying, changing, etc.) as unrelated to where the sources/output end up. Therefore, whether linear or non-linear sources are used the "editing" or "production" can (and is) all being accomplished with computers. Some of the computers are black-boxes with poor io, and some are fully interfaced DTV platforms. -John
