CompuServe Messages

I'm not sure, but it sounds like the slowness of response was on CompuServe, and had nothing to do with Whap!, itself. I have experienced the same type of thing at times when the traffic online is especially heavy. As for lost messages, that sounds like you are expecting the demo version of Whap! to get any message to you automaticallly. Under the demo version this feature is not present. You must tell Whap! to get the messages that you want. I understand that once registered, Whap! will retrieve any mail left for you. (My registration is going out next week!) I found the documentation to be about average for shareware. Better than some, not as good as others. Once properly configured I have not had any trouble. The main thing I am please with is that it has cut my CompuServe bill in half. I'm not sure what you meant about having to change settings to do anything useful. It is a simple matter to change setups temporarily if you have trouble navigating without menus, or whatever. Whap! has made MY online time much more productive. I can now afford to download a few useful files, where before I used up my entire budget just navigating the message base. Lee 😉
