Hi, Bill. I do remember you at one of the shows doing a demo of the flight controller game. A lot happened since then. Mick Cullum got fed up and quit as the supervisor. David Kuijt, still without an american work visa after two years, got stopped at the Canadian boarder and cannot get in again. We got a great supervisor in the form of Arnold Hendrick, designer of the Dwarfstar boardgames "Grav Armor" and "Space Viking". Then the great purge happened. David Kuijt snuck back in the states and visted us. He asked me not to mention to the Boss (ol' Eric Dott himself) that he was here. Eric called and asked if David had been there. Feeling more loyalty to David than Eric, I said no. Eric found out, got angry, Arnold and Frank backed me up, and we ALL got fired. There are now no computer programmers at Avalon Hill's computer division. It's all being done by out of house programmers, and co-ordinated by the only guy left in the department, a Mr. Bill Peschel. Arnold is now working at MicroProse, I'm writing Mac and Amiga software for Dr Thant, and I don't know what happened to Frank. Gulf Strike still is on Computer Gaming World's list of top games, but then again, so is The Guns of Fort Defiance.
