Ya I'll check it out. I just now got the code. I'll do it this weekend
before my Amiga goes in monday for it's 68010-transplant operation on
Monday. Assemblers 1. MCC 2. Aztec 3. Quelo 4. K Seka 3. supports
structured assembly code (i.e. IF THEN ELSE, WHILE, UNTIL) and it comes
with the amiga include files. Has problems though in that it doesn't allow
include files to call include files and has real problems with any
path+file names that are longer than 8(?) char. Thus I have not got it to
work with the Amiga yet. It does fine if I don't try to include files.
4. this thing is an intergrated enviroment that uses a line oriented text
editor and is very fast. I guess it would be good for experimenting on pure
68000 code. Does not support include files at all (well you can read them
in manually) and also does not really support the ROM routines. It does
show you how to call the DOS routines and if you have the Exec manual you
can type all the offsets in by hand. Bad documentation and doesn't explain
how to link the code. Basically what I want is something that is a
superset of the MCC but alot faster. I think the Aztec one would be good if
they would expand it. I really wish they would do with their assembler
symbol table what they do with their C symbol table. By this I mean being
able to save the image of the symbol table onto disk inordre to cut down on
the include file time when compiling. I think the main problem with #3 and
#4 is that they are ports. Darrel
