Dear Mr. Curtis & Mr. Phillips: Although you seem to believe that I have no sense of "morals", I assure that I do. I wrote AutoDialer.Arc late one night, for lack of something to do. After revising it, I decided to upload it to you. My reasons for uploading the file are these: 1) I have downloaded many files from CIS, and thought that I had something worth while. I uploaded the file, as a sort of payback, or retribution for all that I had downloaded. Granted, I pay for this service, but I figured that I had something that others might get use from. 2) I have seen programs of this type for sale. If someone wants a program like this, they can buy it. I figured that I could save an interested party some money (as you can see from the DOC file, I don't ask for any contributions, so this program is not for monetary gain). 3) If for nothing else, this program is a good tutor on how to operate the modem from AmigaBASIC. I wish I had something to tutor me when I was writing it! Again, I say, yes, I understand your feelings, but…. If someone does not want this program, they are not forced to download it. If someone really wants a program like this, they can make their own, it's not a very hard program to make. In your graphics library, I have seen files that have nude digitized pictures. To some people, these may be offensive, but they don't have to download them if they don't want them. The same goes for AutoDialer.Arc. In conclusion, the final say is yours Mr. Curtis. As sysop, you have the power to (or not to) post this file, but I feel that if you do not make AutoDial.Arc public, then we are already in the controlled environment that Mr. Phillips described.
