I believe that CIS does get copyright to what you upload, but not to the
program itself, so that you can't download it and then try to make money on
it (by having it on your BBS), but the author can give you a copy of it for
you to use.
As a programmer with many programs in the DLs, I >DO NOT< want any of my
programs on anybody's BBS without my permission. I realize that that's a
hopeless cause, but many of the programs are works-in-progress that may
have bugs, and if the docs don't follow the program someone may think I am
a flaky programmer (among other things). — Mike
