It's 5 years. But the hard part is that you are "supposed" to make a
"reasonable effort" to place the copyright notice in all existing copies.
Not a very realistic goal, especially for a program that is on BBS's. (Now
I'd love to have a lawyer tell me what "reasonable effort" means. Does
that mean just the one place I uploaded it to? Or does it mean every BBS I
know of? Or every BBS that has it? Or what?)
Isn't copyright law fun!
